Keep your selected ABS mode through ignition restarts on compatible Yamaha Ténéré 700 models—also commonly known as T7 and identified in Yamaha manuals as XTZ690. The T7BUDDY module connects to the factory diagnostic connector and works with the bike’s existing ABS button.

- Europe — Ténéré 700 and Rally Edition: TFT versions introduced from 2023, excluding the redesigned 2025+ version.
- Europe — World Raid: TFT versions from 2022. World Rally, Extreme and Explore are supported only in the compatible configuration; updated TFT/throttle-by-wire models are excluded.
- USA and Canada — Ténéré 700: TFT version introduced from 2024, excluding the redesigned 2025+ version.
Model year and registration year can differ. A matching connector alone does not establish compatibility. If you’re unsure, email us your model, year, original sales market and clear photos of the dashboard and diagnostic connector before ordering.

Will this fit my bike?
Check the model and market details in the compatibility section. The module does not fit redesigned 2025+ models with the updated TFT and throttle-by-wire, or older LCD-display models. Send us your bike details and dashboard photo if you’re unsure.
Do I need to cut or splice anything?
No. It connects to the matching factory diagnostic connector. Allow time to secure the module and check operation before riding.
Can I leave it connected during long-term storage?
The stated 0.2 W power draw applies with the ignition on. For seasonal or winter storage we recommend to disconnect the battery. No need to disconnect the dongle during regular use with a healthy battery.
Does it use the factory ABS button?
Yes. On supported models, the module works with the factory ABS controls. No additional handlebar switch is needed.
Can I remove it?
Yes. Installation is reversible, just unplug it.
Can I use it on public roads?
The module is intended for off-road and closed-course use where permitted. Before public-road riding, select and verify full ABS operation. Check and follow your local rules and regulations!
